Do you handle visas or residency paperwork?
No. Visa, residency and citizenship applications are handled by a relocation agency or immigration attorney. We are the travel concierge: we design and book the trip that lets you experience the country and meet the people who can answer your questions. We work alongside relocation agencies and can introduce you to one if you need it.
Do I need a relocation agency before I contact you?
Not at all. Many clients come to us first, before any paperwork, to decide whether a country is even right for them. If you already have an agency, we coordinate around their timeline.
When is the best time to book a relocation trip?
There are two sweet spots. An Exploration Trip before you apply helps you decide where to go. A Familiarization Trip while your application is in progress lets you plan the practical details: schools, healthcare, housing and banking. The earlier we talk, the more the trip can shape your decision.
Can I compare more than one country on one trip?
Yes. Many clients compare two or three destinations side by side. We route the trip efficiently, including flights between cities or countries, so you see each place on equal terms.
Who are the experts I will meet, and do they charge?
Depending on your needs: realtors, educators, healthcare providers, insurance advisors, bankers, vets, financial advisors and local expat contacts. Many introductions are complimentary. Some professionals, such as attorneys, charge their own consultation fees, which we will tell you about in advance.
Can my children, parents or pets come?
Yes, and we plan around them. Kids get school visits and family-friendly pacing. Parents get healthcare and insurance time and an easier schedule. If a pet is moving with you, we can arrange a local vet visit to discuss import rules and care.
How long should the trip be?
Most clients choose 7 to 10 days for one country, or 10 to 14 days to compare two or three. Shorter trips are possible if you already know the country well.
Do you book flights?
International airfare research is complimentary, and a booking fee applies if you would like us to book it. Flights within the country, such as Bangkok to Chiang Mai or Tokyo to Osaka, are researched and booked at no charge.
How much does a relocation trip cost?
Every trip is custom quoted. As a guide, a 7 to 10 day trip for two typically runs from about $8K in Latin America to $35K in Northern Europe, depending on destination, season and how many expert meetings you need. You will receive a written quote after your complimentary consultation.
What happens after I submit the form?
Your dedicated advisor reviews your answers and reaches out to schedule a complimentary consultation. On that call we talk through your shortlist, your household and your timeline. You then receive a written proposal, and nothing is booked until you approve it.
