Solo Travel FAQs
The questions solo travelers ask us most before they book.
Is it safe to travel solo as a woman?
Yes, with the right planning. We choose hotels in well-located, walkable neighborhoods and request your room placement. Your drivers and guides are people we have worked with before. Your full itinerary is shared with a contact you choose, and your advisor stays reachable while you travel.
What happens if something goes wrong during my trip?
You contact your advisor. A delayed flight, a missed connection, a hotel issue or a change of plans is handled by our team and our local partners, in your time zone. You travel independently, but you are never unsupported.
Will I be eating alone every night?
Only if you want to. We mix private experiences with small-group ones, such as food tours, cooking classes and day trips, and we choose restaurants with chef’s counters and communal tables where dining alone feels natural.
I am older, or I have mobility or health needs. Can you plan around that?
Absolutely. We plan the pace, the walking distances, the hotel layout and the transfers around you, and we confirm accessibility directly with properties and guides rather than trusting a website checkbox.
Do you tell me about visas, e-visas, vaccines and entry rules?
Yes. Every destination is different, so you receive an entry checklist covering visa or e-visa requirements, passport validity, and current vaccine and health guidance. Official requirements are confirmed through government and CDC sources, and any vaccine decisions are made with your doctor.
What is a single supplement, and can you avoid it?
Many hotels and tours price for two, so a solo traveler pays the full rate. We look for properties, cruises and small-group tours that waive or reduce single supplements, and we tell you where it applies before you book.
Is it worth hiring an advisor for a solo trip?
If you want the trip to feel effortless, yes. You get vetted partners, preferred rates and upgrades through our hotel relationships, a plan built around how you actually travel, and someone to call when you are the only one making decisions.
How much does a solo trip cost?
It depends on destination, season and pace. As a guide, a 7-night luxury solo trip typically runs from about $5K in Latin America or Southeast Asia to $12K or more in Japan or Italy during high season, including our planning. Shoulder season usually saves 20 to 30 percent. You receive a written quote after your complimentary consultation.
Can you book just one part of my trip?
Our solo service is full trip management, from research to bookings to in-trip support. If you only need a hotel or a single booking, let us know and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
What happens after I submit the form?
Your dedicated advisor reviews your answers and reaches out to schedule a complimentary consultation. On that call we talk through your destination ideas, your travel style and your dates. You then receive a written proposal, and nothing is booked until you approve it.
